Owners and their furry companions invaded the Auburn International Farmers Market for the Dog Days of Summer event on a sun-splashed Sunday.

The market welcomed dogs of all sizes and shapes for a parade and contest.

Chris Alexander’s dog, Eddie, won Best In Show.

The market, featuring fresh produce, vendors and entertainment, is open Sundays, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., through Sept. 22 at Les Gove Park, 910 Ninth St. SE.

The market has more than 40 vendors offering a variety of fresh farm-based foods, hand-crafted items, specialty items and concession stands.

This Sunday’s lineup includes a steel drums performance by Stanley Alleyne at 10:30 a.m., followed by Sound Harmony, an a’capella group at noon and The Davidson Brothers at 1 p.m.
