Drive-by

Auburn police were dispatched at approximately 12:20 a.m. Oct. 9 after receiving a report of a weapons offense in the 2500 block of D Street Southeast. According to the department’s public information log, a drive-by shooting had occurred, resulting in damage to the roof and front bumper of a vehicle. Police collected bullet casings as evidence in the incident. The public information log listed no suspects or victims in the incident.

Armed robbery

Auburn police were dispatched on Oct. 7 at approximately 8:38 a.m. after receiving a report regarding a robbery involving a firearm. According to the department’s public information log, an armed robbery occurred near the 200 block of 10th Street Northeast, with a cellphone, wallet, documents and more stolen in the incident. The incident involved two victims, with no suspect listed in the log.

Shooting

Auburn police were dispatched on Oct. 5 after receiving a report at approximately 3:08 p.m. regarding an assault with a firearm. According to the department’s public information log, a shooting took place in the 900 block of 37th Street Southeast, with damage to the wall of a building in the incident. The department’s log listed a single bullet casing as evidence in the incident.

Rape

Auburn police were dispatched on Oct. 5 after receiving a report at approximately 6:03 p.m. regarding a sexual offense against an adult in the 800 block of 45th Street Northeast. According to the department’s public information log, police arrested and charged a suspect with rape in the third degree in the incident.

Armed carjacking

Auburn police were dispatched on Oct. 4 after receiving a report at approximately 7 p.m. regarding a robbery involving a firearm in the 1500 block of O Street Southwest. According to the department’s log, unknown suspects stole a vehicle from a victim while displaying a weapon. The department’s log listed four unidentified suspects in the incident and one victim. The log listed a white Hyundai as the offending vehicle, with the stolen vehicle being a white 2017 Toyota.
