Farmers Insurance – in collaboration with the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children and Imagery Concepts – will be offering MILK to families at Algona Days this weekend.
Parents are encouraged to take advantage of the free service during the festival. A Farmers’ booth will be open 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at Algona’s Waffle Park.
Algona Days will include arts and crafts, food and fun for families.
The MILK service includes a photo, fingerprinting and information for families.
MILK – Management Information on Lost Kids – provides parents with identification software that includes a standardized, high-quality digital image of their child with a place to record current detailed characteristics. If the unthinkable occurs, a parent immediately can print “missing” posters and send this important information to law enforcement agencies and the NCMEC-information that can help turn an extended search into a quick recovery.
The national program has helped parents electronically identify more than 2.5 million children with MILK CDs.
