The Auburn School District, Auburn Area Chamber of Commerce and Communities in Schools of Auburn are partnering to encourage eighth-grade students to stay engaged in school, plan appropriate high school courses of study, graduate from high school on time and set goals for successes beyond high school.

Last month, students participated in career interest surveys to determine which career informational sessions they will attend during the conference. The career conference begins with an assembly followed by five sessions with representatives from local businesses, high school programs, community and technical colleges and four-year universities.
