Fire in crawl space damages home in south Auburn

Firefighters from the Valley Regional Fire Authority responded to a report of smoke and flames coming from residence in the 1400 block of 33rd Street Southeast just before 5 p.m. Friday.

Firefighters from the Valley Regional Fire Authority responded to a report of smoke and flames coming from residence in the 1400 block of 33rd Street Southeast just before 5 p.m. Friday.

Work was being done in the crawl space of the home when the fire started.

Everyone evacuated the home safely. There were no reported injuries to civilians or firefighters.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
