Firefighters secured the child’s car seat in the cab of Engine 38 and drove mother and child to their home a few miles away.

Engine 31 personnel did a quick patient exam and called for a Medic unit to check out the guy’s heart. Medic 6 arrived and confirmed that, indeed, the guy’s heart was acting up. JAN. 16

Car vs. motorcycle: 6:03 p.m., (Auburn). Firefighters and Medic 6 responded to a report of a car-motorcycle crash at the intersection of Riverwalk Drive and Auburn Way South. JAN. 18

This occured the following morning on SR 167 and SR 18, when overnight fog and freezing temperatures developed into black ice conditions.
