Assault in the second degree

Auburn police were dispatched on Jan. 29 after receiving a report at approximately 12:06 p.m. regarding an assault involving an unidentified weapon in the 1800 block of I Street Northeast. According to the department’s public information log, police arrested a suspect and booked him on a charge of assault in the second degree following an investigation into the assault. The incident involved one victim and one suspect.

Felony harassment

Auburn police were dispatched on Jan. 28 after receiving a report at approximately 1:39 p.m. regarding a felony harassment incident in the 700 block of 6th Street Northwest. According to the department’s public information log, a man threatened to shoot individuals at his previous place of employment in Auburn. The incident involved one suspect and three victims.

Robbery and stolen Kia

Auburn police arrested four minors involved in armed robberies in the South King County region after the minors used a stolen Kia vehicle to commit a robbery in the 2200 block of Auburn Way North. According to the department’s public information log, police booked the suspects on charges of robbery in the second degree.

According to the department’s social media, two armed robberies occurred prior in the day at 7-Eleven convenience stores in Des Moines and Tukwila involving multiple suspects and a blue Kia getaway vehicle. An Auburn police officer pulled into the parking lot of a 7-Eleven in Auburn to investigate after noticing a blue Kia parked near the entrance of the store, according to the department.

As the officer pulled in, two suspects ran out of the store holding cash tills and jumped into the Kia, fleeing the scene, with the police in pursuit. The suspects fled on foot after reaching a dead end. Police arrested the four suspects after conducting a search utilizing K9 tracking and a helicopter. According to the department, the vehicle served as stolen from Auburn, with all four suspects matching suspect descriptions from the prior robberies. No injuries resulted from the incident.
