Greater Auburn Area Career Conference set for Wednesday

The Auburn Area Chamber of Commerce hosts a career conference for high school juniors and seniors in the Auburn, Kent and Enumclaw school districts. The conference runs from 8 a.m. to noon at Emerald Downs, 2300 Emerald Downs Drive, Auburn.

The Auburn Area Chamber of Commerce hosts a career conference for high school juniors and seniors in the Auburn, Kent and Enumclaw school districts.

The conference runs from 8 a.m. to noon Wednesday at Emerald Downs, 2300 Emerald Downs Drive, Auburn.

Students will have the opportunity to learn about the variety of careers available to them in their area after they graduate and speak with prospective employers about what they need to do to in order to get a job with them.

In addition, students will be able to talk with representatives from local community colleges and technical programs, hear from speakers and attend breakout sessions to discuss job skills and related topics.

Kent and Auburn school districts will also have a booth to answer questions and provide more information about education and teaching careers.
