The Auburn Police Department responded to the following calls for service, among many others, between April 9 and April 17.
April 9
Trespassing: 10:15 a.m., 1521 D St. NE. A man who should have known enough not to do whatever thing he did to earn a one-year get-ye-out-and-stay-ye-out from Days Inn did whatever it was anyway.
Traffic offense: 3 p.m., 410 W. Main St. Police busted a guy for reckless driving.
April 13
Vehicle theft: 7:25 a.m., 917 Auburn Way S. A local truck rental company reported the theft of a vehicle that had already been recovered by another agency, an attempted theft from a motor vehicle and theft of gasoline.
Trespassed: 2 p.m., 4435 A St. SE. A woman was told to stay clear of Papa Murphy’s Pizza until 2027.
Theft from a building: 3:33 p.m., 2800 block of M Street Southeast. An older man reported that a relative had been taking items and money from him over the last two years.
April 14
Impounded vehicle: 10:31 a.m., 902 Auburn Way S. Police impounded a wayward motor home.
April 15
Theft of vehicle bits: Overnight, 12700 block of Southeast 312th Street. The felonious theft of a catalytic converter went down in the wee hours of this day.
Felonious vandalism: Overnight, 1302 W. Main St. Vandals vandalized a downtown business.
April 16
Trespassing: 12:41 p.m., 1101 Outlet Collection Way. For unspecified rascality and hooliganism, two boys earned a five-year-long absence from the Outlet Collection.
Missing person: 8:16 p.m., 2911 15th St. SE. An adult care facility reported a missing man.
April 17
Theft from motor vehicle: 12:40 p.m., 601 Oravetz Road SE. Someone broke into someone else’s vehicle and swiped a purse, and within 30 minutes was using the credit cards that were obtained.
Unlawful racing attendance: 2:07 a.m., 3200 B St. NW. Police busted a guy for attending a street race.
