Seattle Seahawks kicker Steven Hauschka, Blitz and Co. visited Cascade Middle School during a Fuel Up to Play 60 assembly Tuesday.
The Auburn School District earned a $66,000 grant from the program, made possible by the NFL, the Seahawks and the Washington Dairy Council.
Cascade’s physical education department and the district’s Child Nutrition Services will share the grant. The program, as Hauschka emphasized in his talk to students, promotes increased breakfast participation, healthy eating habits and daily exercise.
