Kid’s Country and Applebees to host fundraiser for daughter of woman killed in traffic accident

Applebee's and Kid's Country Child Care and Learning Center in Auburn team up on Saturday, July 20 for a flapjack fundraiser to benefit 3-year-old Shanel Slaggard. Shanel's mother, 28-year-old Diana Flaggard – a Kid's Country employee – died in a car accident in Burien on May 13. Advance tickets are $10 for the event, which will run from 8-10 a.m., and can be purchased by calling Kid's Country at 253-931-1993. Applebee's is at 1441 D St. NE, Auburn.
