Auburn was among the many South King County cities that registered neighborhood events with the program.

The event is held throughout the U.S. each summer to help connect law enforcement with residents and develop neighborhood bonds. Events included potlucks and barbecues.

The goal is to heighten awareness to crime, strengthen neighborhood spirit, while sending a message to criminals that neighborhoods are fighting back.
