Auburn is poised to take its place at the table with some of the more forward-looking cities in King County. It also is faced with, as is every other form of government, a challenging economic reality.

I have been connected to the Auburn community for over 35 years, having lived here for 20 before moving to Kent and continue to work and volunteer in what I consider to be my community.

Pete Lewis has proved himself to be a visionary leader. Over the past eight years Pete has guided Auburn towards a bright future. Under his leadership, Auburn now has a powerful voice not only in South County, but also regionally.

Pete believes in partnerships and can be found at numerous town hall style meetings seeking citizen input. At City Hall, his door is always open to anyone wishing to speak with him. He takes all this input into consideration when making decisions regarding Auburn’s citizens and their future.

Under his leadership, Auburn is in the midst of an incredible renewal of its downtown core, he has attracted numerous new businesses to site here. Pete has put together a highly professional staff who work diligently to make Auburn “more than you imagined”.

On Tuesday, the choice is clear. Vote for experience, fiscal responsibility, honesty and openness. Vote for Pete Lewis in the primary and again on Nov. 3, the general election.
