Members from several local Lions Clubs, including the White River Valley club which services Pacific and Algona, turned out this past Saturday to help out the Terry Home in Pacific in honor of National Make A Difference Day.

Crews whipped the Terry Home’s rain garden into shape, weeding out several truck loads of unwanted vegetation. Volunteers then turned to odd jobs – such as lawn mowing and tree raking – for residents of Algona and Pacific.

The event was organized by Jeanne Fancher of the White River Valley Lions Club, Kate Hull from the Pacific Park Board.
