Tony Mola, Navy veteran and local businessman, passed away Oct. 8 at Swedish Hospital in Seattle following a battle with a heart problem.

Mola was 90.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 16, at St. Barbara’s Catholic Church, 6th Ave., Black Diamond.

A Navy machinist, Mola served during World War II. He was assigned to support vessels on many missions over many seas throughout his 40-year Navy career.

The Kent man was a member of the Sons of Italy and a part of the local veterans community.
