Man, 22, dies from shooting at Auburn apartment complex

“This wasn’t a random act.”

A 22-year-old man died April 15 as a result of a shooting in Auburn.

Auburn police have no suspects in custody in regards to the homicide, as the department continues to investigate the incident and follow up on leads, according to an email from Kolby Crossley, a spokesperson for the Auburn Police Department.

“This wasn’t a random act,” stated Crossley.

According to the King County Medical Examiner’s Office, 22-year-old Eydoel A. Negash died as a result of a gunshot wound of the head. The medical examiner’s office identified his death as a homicide.

According to Crossley’s email, Auburn police responded on the morning of April 15 at approximately 5 a.m. to a shooting at the Promenade Apartments in Auburn, 12902 SE 312th St.

Upon arrival, officers discovered a man suffering from “at least one gunshot wound.”

First responders transported Negash to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle after performing lifesaving measures. Negash was pronounced dead at Harborview Medical Center.

Investigation into the death continues.
