An 18-year-old man was killed Tuesday evening when his car collided with another car at a high rate of speed in the 5500 block of A Street Southeast.

Valley Regional Fire Authority units and Medic One responded at 8:19 p.m. and pronounced the man dead at the scene. The King County Medical Examiner’s Office identified the man Thursday as Andrew Bonwell. He was a student at Auburn High School.

A Medic One unit ground transported a critically injured woman to Harborview Medical Center. A private ambulance transported two other patients to Auburn Regional Medical Center.

The Auburn Police Department is investigating the cause of the accident.
