Between Dec. 4 and Dec. 10, the Valley Regional Fire Authority responded to 308 calls for service, among them the following.
Dec. 4
Car vs. pedestrian: 1:45 p.m. (Auburn). Firefighters evaluated and treated a man who’d been hit by pickup truck while he was in his wheelchair, and then a VRFA aid unit transported him to a local hospital.
Dec. 5
Service call: 7 a.m. (Lakeland Hills). Firefighters cut up a downed tree in a roadway and moved it away.
Dec. 6
Aid service: 11:48 a.m. (Auburn). Firefighters came upon an elderly man lying on the floor of a local grocery store. The man told firefighters he experiences bouts of vertigo. While he was waiting for the episode to pass, firefighters finished his shopping for him, helped him to his vehicle, then drove him and his car to his home nearby.
Dec. 7
Collision: 8:08 a.m. (Auburn). Firefighters and Auburn police responded to a two-car collision where they evaluated one person for minor injuries, then transported that person to a local area hospital.
Dec. 8
Collision: 6:57 p.m. (Auburn). Firefighters responded to a two-car collision, treated two adults for their injuries and then Aid Unit 331 transported them to MultiCare Auburn Medical Center for further evaluation.
Dec. 9
Aid call: 3:04 p.m. (Auburn). Firefighters and King County paramedics evaluated an unconscious mana who was in the back of a ride-sharing vehicle, and then transported the guy to MultiCare Auburn Medical Center for continued care.
Dec. 10
Aid call: 10:26 a.m. (Auburn). Firefighters responded to a man who’d suffered multiple stab wounds and requested King County paramedics and additional fire crews for assistance. Their efforts resuscitated the man before paramedics transported him to Harborview Medical Center for treatment.
