Between May 18 and May 23, the Valley Regional Fire Authority responded to 265 calls for service, among them the following:
May 18
Aid call: 2:20 a.m. (Lea Hill). Firefighters responded to an elderly woman who was very dizzy, and determined that her blood pressure was dangerously high. A private ambulance transported her to Valley Medical Center.
Aid call: 12:19 p.m. (Auburn). Firefighters evaluated and treated a man who had passed out and driven off a highway, and a private ambulance transported him to MultiCare Auburn Medical Center (MAMC).
May 19
Accident: 5:07 p.m. (North Auburn). Firefighters responded to a two-car accident with minor damage from a rear-end collision. Firefighters evaluated one patient for minor injuries.
May 20
Aid call: 3:30 p.m. (Lakeland Hills). Firefighters treated a woman who had fainted after receiving a vaccination, and when she felt well enough, she returned home.
May 21
Aid Call: 9:05 p.m. (South Auburn). Firefighters helped a woman who admitted to abusing alcohol, and a private ambulance transported her to MAMC.
May 22
Accident: 11:44 p.m. (Auburn). Firefighters responding to an accident found two cars with minor damage. One of the occupants was experiencing anxiety after the accident. Firefighters evaluated her, and she remained on scene with friends. The scene was turned over to Auburn Police.
May 23
Aid call: 5:18 p.m. (Auburn). Firefighters examined a man with injuries from an assault and the Auburn Police Department transported him to a shelter.
