Man steals $500 worth of laundry detergent | Auburn police blotter

Auburn police responded to the following cases between April 20 and April 25, among many others.

April 20

Motorcycle theft: Overnight, 1120 37th St. SE. Somebody helped themselves to a motorcycle that belonged to someone else.

April 21

Felonious fraud: 9:35 a.m., 600 block of 17th Street Southeast. A woman let someone she didn’t know remotely access her computer after that person told her that he or she worked for Amazon, resulting in two online transfers from the woman’s account, one for $10,000 and the other for $499.

Vehicle theft: 10:12 a.m., 917 Auburn Way S. A theft of a U-Haul truck went down.

Disorderly conduct: 11:40 a.m., 107 W. Main St. Police arrested a guy for some sort of unspecified but indecent exposure near Auburn City Hall.

Trespassing: 11:55 p.m., 1101 Outlet Collection Way SW. A man who should have known better than to anger the powers that be at Dave and Buster’s earned himself a 5-year-long absence from the establishment.

Theft: 5 p.m., 5110 Frontage Road. Somebody stole a U-Haul tow dolly from a parking lot sometime last month.

April 22

Sex offender registration violation: 8:51 a.m., 340 E. Main St., Justice Center. A sex offender in Auburn failed to register.

Misdemeanor vandalism: 2:57 p.m., 3500 block of D Street Southeast. A woman reported a dispute with another woman over a cell phone that resulted in the suspect slashing her tires.

Property theft: 6:17 p.m., 6000 block of Marshall Avenue Southeast. A woman paid $500 for a dog and never received the creature.

April 24

Found property: 2 p.m., 801 Auburn Way N. Auburn Police took custody of prescription medication during a sponsored Drug Take Back community event.

Strong-arm robbery: 2:36 p,m., 1791 Auburn Way S. A robbery occurred at Walgreens.

Shoplifting: 7:33 p.m., 101 Auburn Way S. A man stole about $500 worth of laundry detergent from Safeway.

April 25

Assault: 1:50 a.m., 2402 Auburn Way S. Police busted a man for assaulting the security manager at the Muckleshoot Casino.
