Mountain View Cemetery’s annual Marker Cleanup Day is Saturday, May 11 from 9 am. to 1 p.m.
Families are invited to care and clean their markers. Markers are considered private property and normal care and maintenance is the responsibility of the respective family.
“Cemetery staff will be on hand if families need any help,” said Craig Hudson, cemetery manager. “We also have some basic tools available by request.”
The yearly cleanup opportunity is scheduled to coincide with Mother’s Day and the annual Memorial Day of Remembrance, set for 10 a.m. May 27.
“It’s also a great day to come tour the cemetery,” Hudson said. “Our staff takes great pride in keeping the grounds beautiful.”
