Auburn Good Ol’ Days is now accepting nominations for the 2009 Pioneer Queen. The queen will reign over the Auburn Good Ol’ Days Festival on Aug. 7-9.

Nomination forms are available at the Senior Center or applicants can visit www.auburngoodoldays.com or www.auburnwa.gov.

Contestants must:

1. Be 80 years of age or over (as of May 31, 2009).

2. Live in the Auburn community.

3. Have contributed their time for the betterment of the community.

4. Be willing and able to promote Auburn Good Ol’ Days celebration by riding in a car in area parades this summer.

Nomination Procedures:

1. Get permission of potential candidate to put her name into nomination.

2. Complete entry form and return to the Senior Center.

3. Entries must be received no later then May 31.

Coronation for the 2009 Pioneer Queen will take place on June 11 at 4:30 p.m. at the Auburn Senior Activity Center at a special luncheon. For more information, call the Auburn Senior Activity Center at 253-931-3016.
