Northbound I-5 overnight lane and ramp closures set for this week

Drivers who use northbound Interstate 5 in Federal Way should plan ahead for overnight lane and ramp closures Tuesday evening, May 24, through the morning of Thursday, May 26.

During the closures, Washington State Department of Transportation maintenance crews will repair pavement on the bridge deck of the Military Road South overpass.

Closure details:

• Tuesday, May 24, to the morning of Thursday, May 26 – Up to three lanes of northbound I-5 from South 320th Street to Military Road South will be closed nightly beginning with one lane at 7 p.m. All lanes will reopen by 4:30 a.m.

• Tuesday, May 24, to the morning of Wednesday, May 25 – The eastbound and westbound South 320th Street on-ramps to northbound I-5 will be closed from 9 p.m. to 4:30 a.m. A signed detour will be in place.

• Wednesday, May 25, to the morning of Thursday, May 26 – The South 317th Street HOV on-ramp to northbound I-5 will be closed from 9 p.m. to 4:30 a.m. A signed detour will be in place.
