The City of Pacific played host to the second White River Chainsaw Carving Competition this past weekend at Pacific City Park.
The event featured carvers from all over the Northwest, as well as carvers from Iowa, Connecticut and Belgium.
Tomas Vrba, of Everett came home with first-place at the event with Belgium’s Luc Vreys grabbing second. Ryan Anderson of Reedsport, Ore. was third with Wilkeson’s Mark Herrington and Jeff Samudosky from Connecticut grabbing fourth and fifth, respectively. Samudosky was also the People’s choice winner and Vrba was the Carver’s Choice selection.
