Pacific Raceways stages large toy collection event Sunday, Dec. 1

Pacific Raceways hosts one of the largest one-day toy collections in the state on Sunday, Dec. 1.

The annual Lexus of Bellevue Northwest Toy Run at the Kent motorsports facility benefits the Toys for Tots Marine Corps.

Toys will be collected from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the track, 31001 144th Ave. SE.

Admission per person is $5 or by donating an unwrapped toy at the gate.

“For the 10th year Pacific Raceways is proud to once again host the largest one day toy collection for Toys for Tots in the state” said Jason Fiorito, track president. “Last year we filled an entire 45(-foot) semi truck with toys, and this year we aim to do that and more.”

Pacific Raceways and Chevron are presenting the event.

All vehicles and car forums are welcome. Organizers hope reach $200,000 in toy donations and to have at least 4,500 cars in attendance.

The day also includes an ugly sweater contest, a “see how many people you can stuff in a small car” contest and a special appearance from Santa.
