Auburn Police are investigating a two-vehicle, head-on collision on Peasley Canyon Road in Auburn late Thursday morning.
Valley Regional Fire Authority crews were on the scene around 11:30 a.m. as emergency crews worked to remove a driver from a crushed vehicle.
That driver was extricated with serious injuries.
According to a tweet from King County Medic One, the patient was transported to the Auburn Municipal Airport for an airlift to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.
Peasley Canyon Road was closed between West Valley Highway and Peasley Canyon Way South, snarling the morning commute.
