Demolition crews began to tear down the first half of the Business and Industry building at Green River Community College early last week, clearing the way for the construction of the 65,000-square-foot Student Life Center.

All materials produced by the demolitions are to be recycled.
The new center, including a bookstore, stage and dining area, is expected to open in 2015.
