Auburn police responded
to the following calls for service between June 22 and June 19:
June 22
Trespassing: 2:40 a.m., 1000 block of 24th Street Northeast. Police arrested three juvenile boys for being on the roof of Cascade Middle School.
Burglary: 12:13 a.m.,
4435 A St. S.E. A male 18-20 years old with a white hat, black, puffy hooded jacket, blue jeans and white shoes, shattered the glass doors to Oliver’s Pet Shop and Papa Murphy’s but fled when an alarm sounded at the pet shop.
Vandalism by egg: Midnight, 5700 block of South 296th Street. A juvenile male hurled an egg at a car then ran for his life when the driver turned around. The impact of the egg chipped the vehicle’s paint.
Fools and their fireworks: 8:11 p.m., 2100 Auburn Way S. Officers saw two people shooting bottle rockets at each other in the discharge area of the Muckleshoot fireworks stands and arrested them.
Theft from vehicle:
4:30 a.m., 2300 block of Emerald Downs Drive. An unknown suspect stole $1,620 in cash from a vehicle at Emerald Downs. The stolen cash was money collected by parking attendants, one of whom left the bag of money unattended for 10 minutes in her unsecured vehicle.
June 21
Fireworks: 8:23 p.m., 4000 block of Auburn Way South. Police arrested three juvenile males after they were seen setting off bottle rockets and other fireworks over an unoccupied construction site.
Theft of dog: 4 a.m., 3900 block of H Street Northeast. A woman reported that somebody burglarized her home and stole her 10-week-old pit bull.
June 19
Burglary: 10:32 a.m.,
31600 block of 108th Avenue Southeast. A woman reported that somebody stole a 1998 red and white Honda XR70R dirt bike out of her detached garage. The dirt bike was not registered.
Trespassing and more: 6 p.m., 1101 Supermall Way S.W. A woman and a juvenile male reentered the Supermall property after they had been told to leave. The female wrote a racial slur on the walls of the mall, adding a splash of vandalism to her legal woes.
Unlawful burning: 8:32 p.m., 30900 block of 124th Avenue Southeast. Several juvenile males started a small fire at Lea Hill Elementary.
Traffic offense: 10:41 p.m., 1600 block of A Street Southeast. Police arrested an adult male for reckless driving after he drove over several curbs at a high rate of speed and then collided with two parked vehicles. Police also arrested a juvenile male for shoplifting after learning that the vehicle had fled from a gas station where the youth had shoplifted a case of beer.
