Auburn police responded to the following calls for service between July 8 and July 5:
July 8
Assault: Overnight, 6600 block of Francis Loop Southeast. Some dude’s ex-boyfriend pushed and punched him in the back, for which misbehavior the former beau earned himself a trip to the jail for domestic violence assault.
July 7
Shoplifting: 9:17 p.m.,
24 A St. S.E. Police arrested a teenage girl after she swiped beer from a convenience store and evaded an employee.
The male half of this urban crime wave is still out there, somewhere.
Assault: 10:55 p.m., 1900 block of A Street Southeast. Police arrested a woman for repeatedly punching her boyfriend, the father of her 2-year-old child.
Assault: 9:38 p.m.,
300 37th St. S.E. Two juveniles assaulted a stranger
at a bus stop for reasons unknown, resulting in equally unknown injuries.
Car theft: 11:52 p.m., 900 block of 7th Street Southeast. Police arrested two juvenile boys as they were stealing a Honda. The thieves had rolled the car out of the driveway into the street and were caught as they were damaging the ignition.
Shoplifting: 9:05 a.m., 1406 Lake Tapps Parkway E. Police arrested a woman for shoplifting two flower bouquets from Top Foods at the Lakeland Town Center.
Assault: 2:50 p.m.,
200 block of M Street Southeast. A man came upon a vehicle prowl in process, whereupon one of the male suspects punched him in the head and fled.
Shoplifting: 4:49 p.m., 1700 block of Auburn Way North. The perishables manager at Top Foods detained a person for shoplifting $579.28 worth of miscellaneous grocery items and police moved in and arrested the thief.
Vandalism: 9:31 a.m.,
1000 block of A Street Southeast. An unknown person sprayed black paint over previous graffiti.
Shoplifting: 10 a.m., 224 E. Main St. While an employee was distracted, an unidentified male and female stole two pair of eyeglass frames from 20/20 Eyecare Center.
July 6
Theft from vehicle:
4 p.m., 2401 Stuck River Drive S.E. Somebody swiped credit cards and several bottles of narcotics and other controlled medications from a vehicle parked on Stuck River Drive Southeast. The victim suspects an acquaintance she had driven to that area.
July 5
Theft from vehicle:
9:15 p.m., 1101 Supermall Way S.W. Somebody swiped a catalytic converter from a man’s Toyota pickup while said wheels were idle at the Supermall.
