Auburn Police responded to
the following calls for service between June 15 and June 12:
June 15
Assault: 2:30 a.m.,
4000 block of Auburn Way. One inebriated dude assaulted another inebriated dude, inflicting on him facial injuries that required hospitalization. The victim said he will press charges against his assailant.
Robbery: 12:50 p.m.,
3600 block of I Street
Northeast. A man stopped
his vehicle to help motorists with car problems but suddenly found himself restrained while several of the pretend victims drove off in his orange, 2005 Nissan Murano and their vehicle, an older black sedan.
Assault: 2:10 p.m., 13000 block of Southeast 304th Street. Police arrested a female for assault after she smacked her brother in the face with a cordless telephone during a verbal argument over where the family should spend Father’s Day. The brother refused treatment for a cut to the inside of his lip.
June 14
Burglary: Overnight,
32500 block of 51st Avenue South. Unknown subjects entered a secured barn and stole two John Deere lawn tractors worth an undisclosed amount.
Theft: 6:30 p.m.,
1101 Supermall Way Southwest. A man reported that somebody stole his fanny-pack at the Supermall, in which fanny pack was his wallet.
Assault: 11 p.m., 300
block of 15th Street Northeast. Police arrested a male by citation for assaulting a female after he struck her in the face and held her by the throat. Police did not explain why the assault occurred.
June 13
Vandalism by egg: 12:30 a.m., 3200 block of Pike Street Southeast. A female reported that her domicile had been egged.
Harassment: 9:10 a.m., 1500 block of 31st Street Southeast. A victim of domestic violence reported that her boyfriend had vandalized her tires and that he had threatened to beat her up. The boyfriend told police on the phone that they would have to kill him because he wasn’t going to jail. Police never found the desperado but they filed charges against him through the prosecutor’s office.
Shoplifting: 1 p.m.,
1101 Supermall Way S.W. Police arrested a juvenile female for shoplifting a coat at Shoe Pavilion in the Supermall.
June 12
Fraud: 1:15 p.m.,
31000 block of 55th Avenue South. An unknown suspect from Canada called an elderly couple, pretending to be their grandson. The suspect knew enough information about the grandson to convince the couple he was who he claimed to be, then said he had been in an accident and needed lots of money. The elderly couple sent money to Quebec then learned their grandson was still in Auburn.
June 11
Assault: 1:20 p.m.,
1015 24th St. N.E. A student came at a school staff member at Cascade Middle School in a threatening manner, making a stabbing motion while holding a piece of wood with the pointy business end toward her.
