Nov. 4

Shoplifting:

12:07 p.m., 1702 Auburn Way N. A man shoplifted some sort of vague, undefined, altogether mysterious merchandise from Top Food & Drug.

CPS Referral: 5 p.m., 202 North Division St. A 4-month-old boy was taken into protective custody at Auburn Regional Medical Center after nursing staff found numerous bruises on the baby’s face, legs and abdomen, minor burns to one leg and small lacerations on the bottom of a foot. Protective Services took custody of the baby and transferred him to a pediatric hospital for further treatment. The case is now in the hands of the Pierce County Sheriff’s Office and CPS as it appears that the injuries occurred at one of several addresses in Pierce County.

Nov. 3

Vandalism: 7:58 a.m., 5300 block of Kersey Way Southeast. Subjects unknown broke into someone’s vehicle in some way.

Burglary: 7 a.m., 5300 block of Kersey Way Southeast. Somebody burglarized a horse trailer between Oct. 31 and Nov. 3. Police didn’t say what was stolen.

Theft from car: 10:45 a.m., 801 Auburn Way N. A female – young, old, dunno, police didn’t say – told police that somebody broke into her car and swiped her wallet.

Controlled substance: 11 a.m., 401 W. Main St. Police arrested a student at West Auburn High School for possessing marijuana.

Theft from car: 11:30 a.m., 1101 Supermall Way S.W. Somebody took several undefined items from a Qwest vehicle in the parking lot of the Supermall.

Harassment: 7:58 p.m., 1225 37th St. S.W. A truck driver for Oak Harbor Freight told police that a picketer harassed him during a strike.
