Auburn police responded to the following calls for service between Oct. 22 and Oct. 19:
OCT. 22
Robbery: 9:31 p.m., 6100 block of Lindsay Avenue Southeast. Police arrested and booked a 25-year-old man for first-degree robbery after he allegedly took his girlfriend’s car away from her, pushing her to the ground in the process and running over her left arm and leg. The man left, but returned to her house where police found him hiding in a closet. The woman suffered scrapes and abrasions. The two, a couple for three months, had been arguing about the man’s drug and alcohol addiction problems.
Traffic offense: 6:20 p.m., 101 Auburn Way S. Police arrested a woman for leaving five children under the age of 11 alone in her vehicle with the keys in the ignition while she shopped in Safeway. The woman said that she left the children alone because she did not want to wake her 3-year-old.
OCT. 21
Vandalism: Overnight, 11800 Southeast 319th Place. A man reported seeing gang graffiti in his neighborhood.
Boosting beer: 2:40 p.m., 101 Auburn Way S. Police arrested a woman at Safeway for shoplifting beer.
Assault: 5:39 p.m., 800 block of 23rd Street Southeast. A 17-year-old boy smacked his adult sister in the eye while she was holding her 16-month-old child in their home. The boy left before police arrived but returned and got himself arrested. In his pants pocket police found a can of beer. He was charged with assault, reckless endangerment and being a minor in possession of a fermented beverage.
Shoplifting: 7:44 p.m., 1101 Supermall Way S.W. Police arrested a woman for shoplifting $14.96 worth of undisclosed merchandise from Steve and Barry’s.
Vandalism: 8:14 p.m , 12500 block of Southeast 300th Way. Homeowners reported that persons unknown shot paintballs at their house, damaging as they did so a window frame and car.
Home burglary: 9:30 p.m., 1600 block of Lake Tapps Drive Southeast. Somebody broke into a home, stole approximately $2,400 worth of property and got away.
Theft from building: Overnight, 1620 Perimeter Road. A man reported that unknown persons stole his wallet and cell phone from his work locker.
Assault: 3:41 p.m., 124 2nd St. S.E. Two males excited for unknown reasons started throwing mid-day punches at each other outside of the Spunky Monkey, but neither was arrested.
OCT. 20
Theft: 6:40 a.m., 5100 block of 32nd Street Southeast. Would-be thieves loaded a cement mixer trailer onto a truck and drove away from the Seventh Day Adventist Church. A witness followed those mixer-stealers until said mixer rolled off the truck on Lemon Tree Lane, where it was later recovered.
Assault: 9 a.m., 3400 block of Auburn Way South. A man assaulted his fiancé overnight and took away the telephone so she couldn’t call for help.
Vandalism: 11:45 a.m., 1000 block of 37th Street Southeast. A male vandalized a car with a baseball bat.
OCT. 19
Harassment: 2:30 p.m., 501 Oravetz Road S.E. Somebody threatened an Auburn Riverside High School student on his cell phone. When police investigated, suspicion soon settled on the parent of a student who had been feeling harassed by the victim.
