Because of her strong record on community safety, Gov. Chris Gregoire recently received the endorsement of seven statewide police and firefighter organizations.

“Gov. Gregoire has supported us by giving us the tools and the resources that we need to keep citizens and communities safe. Because of her commitment to passing safety legislation, improving firefighter training, and providing the funding needed for firefighting mobilizations, we are proud to support her for governor,” said Mike Brown, executive director of the Washington State Fire Chiefs.

The statewide police and firefighter organizations announcing their endorsement of Gregoire include the Washington State Fire Chiefs, the Washington Council of Firefighters, the Washington State Fraternal Order of Police, WFSE/AFSCME, the Washington State Patrol Lieutenants Association, the Washington State Patrol Troopers Association and the Washington State Patrol Lieutenants Association.
