Two vehicles westbound on 15th Northwest became embroiled Wednesday afternoon in what Auburn Police are calling a road-rage incident.

According to Auburn Police Commander Steve Stocker, at 2:53 p.m., a male in a tan-gold, four-door Toyota Corolla pulled out a handgun and fired multiple shots into another vehicle at about the 200 block of 15th Northwest, hitting a male passenger in one arm. Stocker said the suspect vehicle then fled west on 15th and north on State Route 167.

Stocker described the victim’s injuries as “non-life threatening.”

Stocker described the shooter, who was the lone occupant of his vehicle, as an Hispanic or black male, wearing a black baseball cap and a gray hoody.

He did not say what, if any, incident preceded the shooting.
