Boasting the clever styling of artistic director Ron Bayer, the Feb. 9 Rainier Chorale Stardust Cabaret and Silent Auction will feature remarkable soloists accompanied by a live jazz band, and a dinner including a dessert dash, all with a sparkling twist.
The program begins at 6 p.m. at the Green River Community College Conference and Event Center, 12401 SE 320th St., Auburn.
Proceeds from the provide ongoing funding for the Rainier Chorale – a nonprofit community choir based in South King County since 1983 – as well as funding its annual scholarships awarded to college students pursuing the vocal arts.
Bayer has directed the Rainier Chorale for 16 years and is also the director of fine arts at GRCC. He was inducted into the Washington Music Education Association Hall of Fame in 2004.
The Rainier Chorale presents three concert series performed in King County each year.
Remaining performances this season are:
• Simply Baroque, April 6-7
