Rainier Middle School leadership students created, decorated and wrote messages in holiday cards as part of the Red Cross’ Holiday Mail for Heroes program.

Students created more than 50 cards that will be mailed to the Red Cross. The holiday cards will then be distributed to veterans, military families and active-duty service members at hospitals and installations throughout the world.

“We want the students to understand community service and a terrific way to do that is to honor our service men and women who commit to service of our country,” said leadership teacher Cindy Pridemore.
