An estimated $120,000 in gifts and pledges were raised for Rainier Christian Schools before and during its recent fall banquet at Grace Community Church.

The event drew 300 guests.

The money will thrust RCS out of the starting blocks toward its goal of raising $500,000 for the 2008-2009 school year.

Rainier Christian Schools has 950 students at five different campuses throughout South King County.
