Members of Rainer Youth Choirs gathered sponsors and sang for their music program, raising $3,700 on April 15. It was the second annual Music Marathon, which showcased the skills of several talented young members and their choirs.

“The show was amazing from start to finish, and the depth of talents of our RYC members was evident to our enthusiastic audience,” said Leora Schwitters, RYC’s artistic director. “The youngest and newest members particularly shone in their solos, duets, instrumentals and staged musical scenes, and the choral numbers were poignantly performed. It was a grand night, and I couldn’t be more proud.”

Rainier Youth Choirs is a nonprofit organization that offers premier choral training at a reasonable price to grades four through college age youth. Members come from Covington, Kent, Maple Valley, Auburn, Federal Way, Enumclaw, Issaquah and Renton to practice at Cedar Heights Middle School in Covington.
