The Auburn Riverside girls suffered their third defeat of the season with a 57-49 loss to Oregon City, the defending Oregon State 5A girls basketball team at the Comcast Showdown yesterday at the ShoWare Center in Kent.
The Ravens (7-1 South Puget Sound League North 4A, 9-3 overall) held a 25-21 halftime lead by allowed the Pioneers to put together a 24 point third quarter and lead 45-36 going into the final frame.
Riverside outscored Oregon City 13-12 in the fourth, but were unable to secure the win.
The Ravens were led by senior Kat Cooper who had a game-high 24 points. Brooklynn Hinkens added 7 points. Makenna Clark and Ilona Snyder each contributed 6 points.
Oregon City was led by Aly Holterhoff with 11 points and Jordy Klebaum and Jade Lowery had 11 points each.
Riverside continues league play with a 7:30 p.m. game tonight at Kentridge (1-8, 1-11).
