The woman was northbound on Auburn Way North coming up to 277th Street at about 12:20 p.m. March 5 when she approached a passenger car that had stopped in the northbound lanes of travel.
Several cars were stopped behind it.
As cars finally passed the stopped vehicle, according to what the woman later told police, they honked their horns and drove around it, and she did the same.
As the woman approached the red light at 277th, the second vehicle, she later told police, pulled up alongside and a male passenger threw something at her windshield, breaking it.
The victim described the suspect vehicle as a blue 2005 Nissan Altima, but she did not get a license plate and could only describe the driver as female.
