The Rotary Club of Auburn recently donated $10,000 to the Wesley Homes Lea Hill capital campaign fund project.

Wesley Homes has established a fundraising campaign to raise $2 million to build a much-needed, state-of-the-art health center and complete the Lea Hill campus in Auburn. The new $6.6 million Lea Hill Health Center will feature skilled nursing services provided in 36 private suites, enhancing the spectrum of care available to Auburn residents and the surrounding communities.

The private suites design will allow patients, caregivers, and visiting families and friends to engage private conversations and experience quiet times. The privacy and dignity provided in the new health center will be distinctive in a skilled nursing facility, especially one that is not-for-profit and affordable.

The Lea Hill Health Center will be certified under the Medicare and Medicaid programs, with registered nurses, licensed practical nurses and nursing assistants providing around-the-clock care under the supervision of the resident’s physician. The facility will feature a leading-edge configuration of living areas in two “neighborhoods” of 16 to 20 individuals, with shared living space and kitchens. Personal caregivers will staff the neighborhoods.

The Wesley Homes Lea Hill retirement community opened in 2007.
