Washington State Patrol detectives have started investigations into a drive-by shooting on Jan. 10 on State Route 167 near Ellingson Road in Auburn.

At approximately 8 p.m. Jan. 10, the Washington State Patrol received a 911 call from a driver who stated they were shot at on State Route 167, according to the agency. Troopers contacted the victim at her residence.

According to the agency, the victim stated a vehicle, described as a black BMW four-door sedan, pulled up next to her and her boyfriend as they traveled southbound on State Route 167 in a silver Dodge Charger.

The black BMW sedan started to fire, with the shooter firing from the driver’s rear passenger side, the victims advised. They believed the shooter fired shots into the air.

The sedan fled and the victim continued driving to her residence, according to the state patrol. The victim noticed her tire pressure light turn on as she drove back.

At home, she realized her vehicle received multiple gunshots in the shooting, including a tire.

According to the state patrol, the victim did not have a description of the suspect firing the weapon and was unable to obtain a license plate on the suspect vehicle.

Investigation into the incident continues, as Washington State Patrol detectives search for witnesses to the shooting.
