The See Ya Later Washington Foundation recently awarded $4,500 Scott Banke Memorial Scholarships to three Auburn seniors.
Auburn Mountainview’s Griffin Lamb and LJ Elliott and Auburn’s Elena Marquez were selected among many outstanding nominations and awarded $1,500 each to continue their education. Students selected must exemplify kindness and compassion for others, demonstrate commitment to their community and have plans for continuing their education.
The scholarships are awarded each year in honor of Banke, an inspirational boy who lost his battle with cancer in 2001. In addition to the scholarships, the foundation offers kids camps and support to local families in medical crisis.
More information on the foundation can be found at www.seeyalater.org and on Facebook at See Ya Later Washington.
