A 17-year-old Black Diamond driver was seriously injured in a one-car, rollover crash Tuesday evening.

The accident occurred in the 31000 block of the SE Black Diamond-Ravensdale Road. The teenager was driving a 2000 Dodge Neon westbound where the road curves to the left. His car drifted off the road onto the shoulder then down an embankment. The vehicle hit a large tree before rolling onto the roof.

The driver was airlifted to Harborview Medical Center.

Detectives have no reason to believe drugs or alcohol were involved. Excessive speed does appear to be a factor in the crash however.
