The Washington Department of Health (DOH) confirmed a 10th death in the state due to coronavirus, or COVID-19, on Wednesday, March 4.
At 11 a.m. today, the department updated its coronavirus information page claiming 39 positive cases in the state and 10 deaths.
There are 31 cases from King County and nine deaths. Another eight cases and one death are from Snohomish County. The website also states 231 people are being supervised for potential coronavirus exposure.
“The number of people under public health supervision includes those at risk of having been exposed to novel coronavirus who are monitoring their health under the supervision of public health officials. This number includes people who have returned from China in the past 14 days and are included in federal quarantine guidance,” the website states.
The site does not state the age of the person who died or the state of the new cases.
