Auburn Police responded to the following calls for service, among many others, between Aug. 17 and Aug. 22.
Aug. 17
Burglary: 6:30 a.m., 6600 block of Charlotte Avenue Southeast. Unknown bad guy entered multiple houses and stole items found within.
Aug. 18
Misdemeanor harassment: 12:30 a.m., 2800 block of Auburn Way N. Some guy harassed his former roommate.
Auto theft: 12:30 p.m., 700 block of 47th Street Southeast. Someone broke into a man’s Hyundai Elantra, found keys to his Mercury Mountaineer and stole it from the parking lot of his apartment complex.
Aug. 19
Assault: 1:34 a.m., 12720 block of Southeast 312th Street. A man reported that his daughter had assaulted him.
Misdemeanor harassment: 1:52 a.m., 1900 block of A Street Southeast. Some guy tried to steal a catalytic converter, with a female as his getaway driver.
Theft: 6:23 a.m., 507 C St. SW. A known male stole a known computer from a known hotel.
Industrial arson of inhabited structure: 4:18 a.m., 22 30th St. NE. Someone lit a fire that damaged a trailer and a wall.
Aug. 20
Purse theft: 12:50 p.m., 230 block of 13th Street Southeast. A woman reported that three people tricked her into helping them with a lost dog, and when she was distracted, one of the trio stole her backpack with her wallet, cell phone and cash inside.
Extortion: 2 p.m., 31900 block of 104th Avenue Southeast. Someone extorted a man for money in exchange for not carrying out his or her threat to post naked photographs of him.
Aug. 21
Burglary: 2:05 p.m., 11530 block of Southeast 308th Place. A man reported that someone had taken items from the garage attached to the home he shares with other people.
Hit and hoofed it: 8:28 p.m., 100 block of 37th Street Southeast. Driver A rear-ended Driver B, then promptly took off.
Assault with injury: 11:06 p.m., 12720 block of Southeast 312th Street. Guy told police a female who had trespassed into his apartment also had stolen his male dog.
Aug. 22
Burglary: 12 a.m., 5100 block of Irene Avenue Southeast. A woman reported that her deceased husband’s will had been stolen from her home.
