Traffic advisory: Lane closure, Auburn Way South (SR 164)

On Wednesday, heavy traffic is expected on Auburn Way South (State Route 164) during the evening commute from the SR 18 interchange to the city limits and beyond due to an event at the White River Amphitheater.

On Wednesday, heavy traffic is expected on Auburn Way South (State Route 164) during the evening commute from the SR 18 interchange to the city limits and beyond due to an event at the White River Amphitheater.

A temporary lane closure for the westbound left turn lane from Auburn Way South to Riverwalk Drive SE will be implemented from approximately 3 to 7 p.m. to help manage the increased traffic volumes. A detour route will be signed during the closure using 17th Street SE and R Street SE.

Access to residences and businesses within the area will be maintained during the closure, but significant delays should be expected and alternate routes are strongly advised.
