From Monday, April 3, through approximately Wednesday, April 5, City’s contractor (Miles Resources) will be narrowing lanes and shifting traffic along Auburn Way South (SR164) from Muckleshoot Plaza to Dogwood Street SE to make room for construction activities along the south side of the roadway.

The work will require lane closures in both directions of Auburn Way South.

To accommodate commuter traffic lane restriction hours are as follows:

• Eastbound lane closures from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m.

• Westbound lane closures from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Heavy congestion is anticipated during the lane restriction hours noted above; please plan accordingly.

In addition, the speed limit through the work zone is also being reduced to 35 mph due to the narrowed lanes and lane shifts. This will provide a safer work zone for our construction crews onsite as well as the travelling public driving through the project limits.

Access to residences and businesses within the project area will be maintained during construction. This work is dependent on weather.
