Traffic advisory: Paving project to begin Monday in I Street area

An arterial and collector pavement preservation project is scheduled to begin paving activities on Monday in the project limits of: I Street Northeast from 14th to 22nd Street Northeast; I Street Northeast from 26th Street Northeast to 32nd Place Northeast; 22nd Street Northeast from Auburn Way N to I Street Northeast.

An arterial and collector pavement preservation project is scheduled to begin paving activities on Monday in the project limits of: I Street Northeast from 14th to 22nd Street Northeast; I Street Northeast from 26th Street Northeast to 32nd Place Northeast; 22nd Street Northeast from Auburn Way N to I Street Northeast.

Construction is expected to take up to four weeks to complete. Curb and gutter replacement has already begun in preparation for this paving work. This work is weather dependant.

The working hours for this project will be weekdays from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Through traffic and local access to properties on I Street Northeast and 22nd Street Northeast will be maintained but traffic delays should be anticipated.

Access to I Street NE from certain side streets will be closed at times during construction.
