An Amtrak train traveling northbound on the Burlington Northern Santa Fe tracks struck and killed a man trying to cross the tracks westbound on West Main Street shortly after 9 p.m. Monday.

The man was identified as 25-year-old Oleg Agapov by the King County Medical Examiner’s Office, which ruled his death an accident.

Witnesses told Auburn Police that the pedestrian was under the influence of alcohol. The crossing arms were down.
